Difference between Ayurveda and Mordern medicine

Ayurveda is a 5000 year-old medical knowledge system that originated in south asia India and Nepal. Ayurveda derives its medicines purely from nature; its core belief is that the BODY,MIND and SPIRIT are intimately connected. Hence when the vaidya treats a patient, say for a digestive problem, he extends his treatment to include the WHOLE person, his diet and lifestyle patterns and even his state of mind. These are the main difference between Ayurveda and modern medicine. Try to read out few main difference below:

Ayurveda is a holistic healing science of life which comprises of two words, Ayu and Veda. Ayu means life and Veda means knowledge or science. meaning of the word Ayurveda is the science of life. Ayurveda is not only with treatment of some diseases but is a complete way of life. The system of medical practice which treats disease by the use of remedies chemicals which produce effects different from those produced by the disease under treatment. MDs practice allopathicmedicine.
Treatment is from the root cause. Complete system. Treatment of only the Symptoms. incomplete treatment.
It is completely focussed on PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH. It is fivefold in ensuring PHYSICAL health, MENTAL health, SPIRITUAL health, SOCIAL health as well as ENVIRONMENTAL health
In Ayurveda, every individual is unique and there is no diet or lifestyle routine that works for everyone. Mordern medicine has only chemical composition prescription no care on diet and lifestyle.
Ayurveda deals with preventive and curative aspects as objectives of Ayurveda

  1. To prolong life and promote perfect health
  2. To completely eradicate the disease and dysfunction of the body.
Allopathic medicine is only the cure of bacteria, virus, and microbes. Do antibiotic therapy accordingly. Weakness in preventive aspects.
DIAGNOSIS is primarily by the use of sophisticated laboratory equipment and investigations, which considerably reduce the element of risk. DIAGNOSIS is primarily by using the five SENSE ORGANS and hence emphasis is placed on honing of the senses so that they are highly sensitive to even a very minute stimuli.
Ayurveda medicine took more time to cure but negative side effects are nominal. Allpathic medicine cure in short periods with antibiotics but long term side effects like weak health, allergy and many more.
Prevention is key. Ayurveda focuses on providing specific advice and guidance on how to maintain physical and emotional health. If you come to an Ayurvedic doctor with a complaint, you are more likely to leave with a recipe than with a prescription for pills.
Ayurvedic remedies supplies both healing and precautionary measures towards most favorable physical, mental and spiritual well being. Mordern medicine has weakness on precautionary aspects and addressing spiritual state.
Ayurveda solution which is made up of herbs is based on direct sense perception, logical inference and hearing from authoritative sources, that is saints or realized souls. Allopathy which is also known as ‘conventional medicine’ is developed in the West. It is also called as the Modern System of Medicine. In this system the diseases are treated with drugs which are having opposite effects to the existing symptoms.
Ayurveda deals with the living the healthy, happy life long life. Modern chemical medicine donot addres s for future effects.
